Gab starts to plan his game with Keith and Kaz, but his plans get interrupted by a surprising turn of events.
Certainly not the most exciting chapter ever with Gab's monologue, but I guess it was neccessary to give more insight about him, what exactly he is, what drives him etc. There'll be a more specific explanation abouw what he is soon, plus he'll get his own arc later anyway, which will reveal more about him.
And... sorry to anyone who liked Kaz. uù I thought about this for way too long, but this way it's easier for the story's process. I still love the chapters in the old versions where Keith apologizes to Kaz the most, but I think this is a closed chapter. I wouldn't want to redraw this scene anyway. As stated already, I want this version to focus more on Gab/Keith, and the whole Kaz plot was probably too distracting. I already attempted to draw an alternative version of this story where Kaz dies in 2021. Sorry, Kaz. But tbh he does have his own story which is concluded for a long time already.
So, about Gab: his impellent is boredom. He plays around to kill boredom (and a few people occasionally...). He has no real motive, no greater achieveable goal, no moral compass. He likes to fight other magicians, but is kinda disillusioned since no one can keep pace with him. He's a big reason why magicians are so rare nowadays, too. One important thing is also - he could probably rule the world or something, but he has absolutely no interest in doing so. I think he's a bit like an overpowered child, and to him, humans are mere toys, and the world is is playground.
Goal of this chapter was to give more insight in his personality and powers, so unlike Keith you'll know what he'll have to deal with. lol I hope it's not too disappointing that Gab doesn't approach Keith directly and that there's no instant romance between them - regarding the "romance", this story is VERY slow burn, since both of the characters have to clean up their history first. But all of this is important to enable their relationship, believe me. This isn't random or unstructured.
Tbh I personally wouldn't really draw explanatory pages like these for myself at all, but I feel like most readers prefer to know what's going on from the beginning. I'd personally rather approach a more confusing storyline that clears up within the plot slowly, but I experienced that this is seen as a big flaw, so here's as much as explanation about Gab as I can give rn. There's still a few details that will be explained later, sorry. If you wanna know something specific more in detail, please let me know, so I might be able to add it in the later chapters! <3
Technical info: The backgrounds are mainly 3D models again, a few are completely drawn by me, and a few are altered photos taken by me. Even if the 3D modeling can't be considered "drawing", it's still very time-consuming and a lot of work.

I truly loved this chapter! Gab seems to be a very powerful and "dangerous" being - I like him. I can easily imagine that immortal ones fight with boredom the most and many times play different kind of games to entertain themselves. I also like slow burn things - they are more real than instant crushes. I love your story so far, keep it up!
